BACOLI

Archaeological manufacts

The outstanding place of interest here is the Piscina Mirabile which is an enormous underground fresh water lake which in Roman times supplied the Imperial fleet of Capo Miseno. In the same area are the famous Cento Camerelle (or 100 rooms) which are also cisterns for storing fresh water.
The so-called Tomb of Agrippina completes the archaeological patrimony of ancient Bacoli which today is a pleasantly picturesque fishing village.
